Cyntur JumperPack Mini Brings Old Truck To Life

So, disclaimer up front: Cyntur wanted us to review their product (Cyntur JumperPack Mini) so they sent me one. Now that this is out of the way, let me say that this thing is awesome!
It is very similar to all those cell phone back up batteries that have been out for a few years, except it can also jump start your car too!
I say “too” because Cyntur was smart enough to include a USB charging port for your devices and a 200 lumen LED flashlight in the end of it.
The Cyntur JumperPack Mini will make a great addition to your car safety kit.
I got my Cyntur JumperPack Mini in the mail, charged it for the recommended time and started playing with it. First thing was the flashlight: it is small but plenty bright to help you dig around in your trunk or look for the fuse panel under your hood.
The included carrying case has all the charging and usage instructions plastered to the inside of the lid.
Very handy.
Next was actually plugging in the cell phone. No drama there – charged as expected but at this point I had to find a vehicle with a dead battery. Generally, I try to keep my vehicles in good batteries so this took some doing.
However, my friend has a DIY auto repair shop with his trusty (crappy) old Chevy pickup outside.
Lucky for me – not so lucky for him – the battery had been stolen!
I had my friend help me hold the provided alligator clips of the Cyntur JumperPack Mini to the now dangling battery cables. After a few tries and pumping the gas, the old 350 ci small block smoked to life. I ran it for about a minute just off the pack.
I was pretty impressed.
This is about the worst case scenario I could find without lowering the temperature to sub freezing levels. Old, tired, carbureted V8 with questionable electronics yet no problems from the Cyntur JumperPack Mini.
I give Cyntur my vote of confidence! I mean, my friend’s pickup is really old . . .
If you need an external battery pack for your phone or want the added security of being able to jump your own car, this is a great option. It comes with a standard wall charger, jumper cables, and a nice zip up case to hold it all.
Available at Target, Amazon, and Cyntur for $99.
If you are like me, this will be invaluable on boating trips in your friend’s “new” $500 pontoon.
